There are four universal and practical methods that work accurately and can be used to end the difficulty of how to change IMEI on your phone that runs on KitKat 4.4, Lollipop 5.0 or Marshmallow 6.0 has been made very easy with this MTK Engineer Mode IMEI Guide.

You can use the Engineering Mode(MTK) app, Chamelephon App, Mobile Uncle Tool app or USSD code. If none amongst this four methods works on your MTK(MediaTek) Android device, your phone is probably not a MediaTek processor. METHOD 1: How To Change IMEI Using MTK Engineering Mode App

The use of MTK Engineering Mode app is my favorite of all the four methods. This app is a unique IMEI tweaking tool does not need root access to work, just install and tweak with ease.

Requirements:

  • MTK Engineering mode (mtk
  • Blackberry IMEI

Follow The Detailed Steps Below

Step 1: First of all, generate your 15 digit Blackberry IMEI or other IMEI you want to change/flash/rewrite/write

Step 2: Download the MTK Engineering Mode from Google play store here.

Step 3: Launch the MTK engineering mode. Click on Engineer Mode (MTK) » Swipe left to Connectivity » click on CDS Information » Radio Information.

Step 4: To change your sim 1 IMEI click on phone 1 or Phone 2 to change sim 2 IMEI, then follow this guide

For Phone 1: “AT+ EGMR=1,7,YOUR NEW IMEI NO” (be certain you include the space in between AT+ & EGMR)

For Phone 2: “AT+ EGMR=1,10,YOUR NEW IMEI NO” (be certain you include the space in between AT+ & EGMR)

Step 5: Then click on “ Send At Command ” (You should get a message that your ‘AT command sent)

Step 6: Reboot your smartphone or just on and off your airplane mode then dial *#06# to confirm your new IMEI.

METHOD 2: How To Change IMEI Using Chamelephon App

If you have been searching for how to change IMEI on Marshmallow 6.0 method of changing your IMEI works well for the stubborn Marshmallow 6.0, but it requires root authentication before working, that means, you must root your phone before you can use this method.

Requirements:

  • Rooted Android device. (If your device is not rooted click how to android device)
  • Chamelephon App (Download here)
  • Valid BlackBerry IMEI Number or other IMEI

Follow The Detailed Steps Below

Step 1: Download and install the Chamelephon app on your device

Step 2: After installing, launch the Chamelephon app, then
click on Authorize root permission if asked for root access as seen below.

Step 3: If you are using a dual sim phone smartphone then take note that the first box is for the IMEI of sim 1 while the second box the IMEI of Sim 2

Step 4: Ensure that the IMEI you want to change your current IMEI to is readily available or generated.

Step 5: Now that the IMEI is ready, you will be provided with space where you will paste the generate IMEI then click the “ Apply New IMEI ” button below.

Step 6: Reboot your device or just ON and OFF your smartphone Airplane mode for a quick reboot. Then dial *#06# to confirm your new IMEI.
